Who We Are
The Nevada Good Sam Club was established in 1971 to help our local chapters meet and get to know each other.
The State Organization has two elected positions, the State Director and the State Treasurer. Each office is elected to a two year term and the elections for each are held on alternate years. The balance of the State Staff is appointed by the State Director and serves during his or her term of office. Their function is to assist with state activities and to act as a liaison with the chapters.
Our State Chapters are the very heart and soul of the Nevada Good Sam Club. Nevada currently has 12 chapters. Each chapter draws members from a specific geographic area. Most of our chapters in the southern part of the state suspend camping during the summer months due to the weather. Conversely, most northern chapters trade camp-outs for luncheon meetings during the winter months. Go to State Chapters to view a list of chapters and read a brief description of each.
The State Committee is comprised of the Presidents of each chapter, the State Director and the State Treasurer. This is the governing body of the state organization. The appointed members of the state staff are not on the state committee and do not have voting power. Our State Committee meets twice annually, at our Spring Rally in the southern part of the state and our Fall Rally in the northern part of the state. All members are invited and encouraged to attend and participate in our state meetings.
The Nevada Good Sam Club holds two rallys each year, one in the southern part of the state in the spring and one in the northern part of the state in the fall. Please visit our rallys pages to learn about our upcoming rallys. Good Sam membership is not required to participate in our rallys but advance registration is required.
