The Pahrump Valley Dust Devils is a Nevada Good Sam Chapter located in the town of Pahrump in Nye County Nevada. We plan a camp-out each month except during the summer months. At each camp-out we play a lot of games including Horseshoe, Cribbage, Washers, Ladder Golf and Mexican Train. We also include a Chapter meeting at each outing.

The May campout was held at Lakeside RV Park in Pahrump and hosted by Fred & Cheri Beeman. Even though it was a little breezy, a good time was had by all. A potluck was held on Saturday evening and everyone ate too much. We have really good cooks. Safe travels were wished for all the members who will be leaving for the summer. No campouts will be held in June, July or August.

The September campout was held at Winnemucca at the Nevada State Rally with only five rigs in attendance. This was the lowest number of rigs we have had at a State Rally in a long time. We were so excited that Terry Herbert took first place in both doubles and single horseshoes. The weather was cooler this year, but we all had a good time .

The October campout was held at Tecopa Palms RV Park and hosted by Don & Alice Norvell, Ray Hann & Diana Dodd. We had 18 rigs in attendance and three guests. Thurday evening dinner was provided by the camp hosts and enjoyed by all. We played lots of games, Mexican Train, Hand and Foot, horseshoes, cribbage and etc. The weather was great!! We enjoyed a campfire in the evenings and some played poker. We participated in a Retirement of Flag Ceremony, held at the park. We welcomed new members, Les & Rosie Bagby into our Chapter.

The November campout was held at Nevada Treasurer’s RV Resort and hosted by Hickstein, Mathias and Fellows. Chili Dogs were provided by the camp hosts on Thursday. We had 16 rigs in attendance and three guests. The weather was great and lots of games were played. We welcomed new members Dave & Lois Ringler into our Chapter. We all ate too much at our Saturday potluck.

A moment of silence was held at our meeting for departed members we lost in October. (Janice Friedal, wife of Richard, and Jane Culmer, wife of Fred). Pat Irvine’s mother also passed away. Our condolences were extended to these members.
